EN Luxembourgish choreographer and recipient of the Luxembourgish Dance Award, Simone Mousset has played a crucial role in the revival of the Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg. She now co-directs the company, strengthening its stature, prestige, and political influence. In addition to her productions within the ballet, this artist, associated at The Place (London), is known for her independent works, supported by institutions in Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom.

FR Chorégraphe luxembourgeoise et lauréate du Prix Luxembourgeois de la Danse, Simone Mousset a joué un rôle crucial dans la renaissance du Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg. Elle codirige aujourd’hui la compagnie en renforçant sa stature, son prestige et son influence politique. Outre ses productions au sein du ballet, cette artiste associée à The Place (Londres) est reconnue pour ses œuvres indépendantes, soutenues en France par le CCN de Belfort, KLAP à Marseille, Les Hivernales à Avignon, et autres.

Senior Executive Assistant to the Directors
EN Ms von Rabenstein joined the staff of the Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg at the age of 19. She served as Assistant to the Company’s founding sisters, Claudine and Joséphine Bal, after meeting them at a performance of Josiane, the Country Girl in Munich. Over the decades, she has become an integral part of the organisation’s artistic and administrative life, renowned for her precision, discretion, and unwavering commitment to the Company. Ms. Von Rabenstein is the only surviving Company member to have worked with the Bal sisters.
FR Mme von Rabenstein a rejoint le personnel du Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg à l’âge de 19 ans. Elle a exercé les fonctions d’assistante auprès des sœurs fondatrices de la Compagnie, Claudine et Joséphine Bal, après les avoir rencontrées lors d’une représentation de Josiane, the Country Girl à Munich. Au fil des décennies, elle est devenue une figure essentielle de la vie artistique et administrative de l’organisation, reconnue pour sa précision, sa discrétion et son engagement indéfectible envers la Compagnie. Mme von Rabenstein est la seule membre de la Compagnie encore en vie à avoir travaillé avec les sœurs Bal.
Will Swansey
Assistant to the Executive Assistant
EN During an internship with the British Council in Luxembourg, Swansey was introduced to the Company by his father – the then UK Ambassador to Luxembourg, Sir Gerald Swansey III.
Will contributes to the Company’s administrative and logistical operations. Known for his thoughtful presence and reflective approach to work, Will brings sensitivity, intelligence, and a quiet determination to his role as Assistant to the Executive Assistant. His perspective and composure continue to make him a valued and trusted member of the administrative team.
FR Lors d’un stage au British Council au Luxembourg, Swansey a été présenté à la Compagnie par son père — alors ambassadeur du Royaume-Uni au Luxembourg, Sir Gerald Swansey III.
Will contribue aux opérations administratives et logistiques de la Compagnie. Reconnu pour sa présence réfléchie et son approche introspective du travail, Will apporte sensibilité, intelligence et une détermination discrète à son rôle d’assistant auprès de l’assistante de direction. Son regard et son sang-froid continuent de faire de lui un membre apprécié et digne de confiance de l’équipe administrative.
